Wang is creative director of Shenzhen Wang Yuefei Design Co., a member of NY ADC, scholarship commissioner of Shenzhen Graphic Designers Association and a committee member of Shenzhen Culture Fund Art Evaluation Committee. He graduated from the Design Department of Guangzhou Academy of Arts in 1979. Since 1998 Wang has studied Tibetan characters and Buddhist culture, and has combined modern design elements with Tibetan cultural themes to design new Tibetan scripts. He finished the book Inspiration from Tibet in 2003 and won the Gold Prize, Shenzhen 03 Exhibition, a Tokyo TDC Prize Nomination 2005 and the NY TDC Excellence Prize 2005. Wang’s works have won many prizes and honours, and are featured in the permanent collections of the following institutions: Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg; International Corporate Center, New York; Museum für Zeitgenössische Kunst, Germany, Hong Kong Culture Museum and the Danish Poster Museum, Copenhagen.
