In 2006, she launched her career by joining wx-design, headed by designer Wang Xu. Hou established her faith in graphic design during these years. Later in 2012 and 2014, Hou chose to continue her studies at CAFA and YALE. At this phase, she started to explore the contents and connotations of design and created a series of simple and subtle works.

As a female Chinese designer, her working experience engaged her to participate and curate various professional projects. Moreover, a series of visual-spatial explorations have also been conducted to body forth her interest in architecture and space.

Oriental culture based design is the recent directions of her research and exploration.
