AGI member since 1967

Niels Hartmann was the one exception of all the early Danish members of the AGI who made their name before the war. He belonged to a younger generation but became one of the leading postwar Danish designers for print, symbols and typography. He was responsible for the brilliant modular Lego sign concept that has been and is being used all over the world. It adjusts to all requirements in all conceivable situations. The way it is designed, it is almost impossible to apply it wrongly, so it always looks good – no mean achievement.
