Jeremy Leslie has worked with magazines for over 35 years. He studied graphic design at the London College of Printing (now Communication) before art directing Blitz magazine and Time Out, later becoming creative director at John Brown Publishing where he was responsible for award-winning magazines Carlos and M-real and children’s encyclopedia Pick Me Up.

He is a passionate advocate for editorial design and established himself as a commentator on the subject via a series of books and his magCulture blog. He regularly contributes to the design press, speaks at conferences and judges competitions.

For the past 18 years he has developed magCulture as a key source of news and opinion covering editorial creativity. Operating under the banner ‘We love magazines,’ magCulture supports the new generation of independent magazines with online reviews, annual events in London and New York and a shop in London. The magCulture Studio works with a range of international clients to develop their publishing programmes, advising on both strategy and design.

Jeremy was the 2018 recipient of the BSME’s Mark Boxer award for services to the publishing industry.

    Jeremy Leslie has worked with magazines for over 35 years. He studied graphic design at the London College of Printing (now Communication) before art directing Blitz magazine and Time Out, later becoming creative director at John Brown Publishing where he was responsible for award-winning magazines Carlos and M-real and children’s encyclopedia Pick Me Up.
