    Jeremy Leslie has been making magazines since he first produced a music zine in 1977. He studied graphic design at the London College of Printing (now LCC) and went on to art direct early style title Blitz, since when he's worked on all types of magazine. From 1999-2009 he was creative director at John Brown Publishing where he was responsible for projects including award-winning magazines Carlos and M-real and children's book Pick Me Up.

    He now runs his own studio, magCulture, and divides his time between designing, curating and writing. He is creative director for Luxembourg publisher Maison Moderne and has worked on print and digital projects for clients including Aeon, Fiera, Noble Rot and Visual Editions.

    Jeremy is a passionate advocate for editorial design and has established himself as a commentator on the subject via the magCulture online Journal and a series of books. He regularly contributes to the design press, speaks at conferences and judges competitions.

    He also organises the annaul Modern Magazine conference in London, and the magCulture shop in central London has become a focal point for the new age of independent magazine publishing.
