Back to members

The son of a mathematician and of Anglo-Italian descent, David has embarked on a journey in design that is influenced by the way he sees the world. He pursues diversity in clients and output, which in turn employs a curious mix of playful yet intelligent, precise yet intuitive responses. He has pursued experiments in typographic form since studying at Swinburne University, and this is one of the creative threads that draws his work together.

In 1993 he started a creative collaboration with photographer John Gollings which still continues today through their shared studio space. In 2018 he formed a formal business partnership with designer Alex Ward, a collaborative relationship which has blossomed since 2008.

When not designing or spending time with his family, David can often be found peddling a bicycle.
