His work includes the celebrated Toi Tū Toi Ora exhibition identity for the largest ever exhibition of Māori art. The identity for Matariki, New Zealand's first indigenous public holiday. As well as the identity for the countries first dedicated Māori public art gallery, the Wairau Māori Art Gallery.
He has been instrumental in establishing New Zealand's Toitanga award which celebrates Māori design. His work has been recognised locally and internationally through The German Design Awards, NY Type Directors Club, Graphis, and has won the NZ Best Awards Purple Pin six times.
