Read full biographyIsabel Seiffert (born 1986, based in Zurich, Switzerland) is one half of Offshore, the collaborative practice and design studio she founded with Christoph Miler in 2016. Offshore’s practice interweaves the duo’s interest in editorial design, typography, image-making, and visual identity, as well as investigating visual narratives. In addition to commissions and self-initiated research, the pair is passionate about design pedagogy.
In 2020/21, Offshore was the recipient of a fellowship at the Jan van Eyck Academie in the Netherlands and continued their research at La Becque Artist Residency in 2022. In the same year, Isabel and Christoph received the Swiss Design Award for their body of work, granted by the Swiss Ministry of Culture. Isabel teaches at multiple European art and design schools and currently holds the professorship for Communication Design and Visual Literacy at Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe.
