Freeman Lau studied at Hong Kong Polytechnic and is now a partner in Kan & Lau Design Consultants. Since 1984, he has won over 250 awards in overseas and local art and design competitions. Most recently in 2004, Freeman’s design for Watson’s Water won the international bottledwaterworld Design Awards. He successfully created a symbiosis between art, culture, design and business acumen; significantly increasing the brand’s market share while contributing to the local cultural movement. Apart from his commercial projects, Freeman exerts genuine assertiveness in the fine arts. In 2004, Freeman’s work was awarded ‘Chair of the Year’ in the Chair Design Competition of Barrie Ho Collections. The ‘Chairplay’ travelling exhibition was held in Hong Kong, Japan, Beijing and Taipei. He is now the chairman of the board of directors of the Hong Kong Design Centre, secretary general of the Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations and a member of the Design Management Institute Advisory Council.

    Freeman Lau studied at Hong Kong Polytechnic and is now a partner in Kan & Lau Design Consultants. Since 1984, he has won over 250 awards in overseas and local art and design competitions.
