Francesco Valtolina is a Milan-based Graphic Designer and Art Director. He is the Creative Director of Mousse Magazine (since 2006) and co-founder of Mousse Publishing (2008), as well as the design studios Dallas and Cabinet Milano. Over the past two decades, he has worked with international publishers such as Phaidon, Rizzoli New York, Sternberg Press, Electa, and Spector Books. He has collaborated with institutions including dOCUMENTA, the Venice Biennale, the Rome Quadriennale, Triennale Milano, Centre d’Art Contemporain Geneva, and the Swiss Institute, and with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Moncler, Memphis Milano, and Pirelli. In 2021, he co-activated the bookshop Commerce in Milan. Originally launched as a fashion label, Cabinet Milano evolved into a multidisciplinary studio blending fashion, publishing, and design. Since 2013, he has taught at NABA in Milan, ISIA in Urbino, and IUAV in Venice. As part of the Rio Grande collective, he designed several displays for institutional exhibitions.
