Alan Dye was named Vice President of Human Interface Design in 2015. The work of the Human Interface
team has defined the design language across all Apple devices and is used by billions of people every day.
Alan began his career at Apple in 2006 as Executive Creative Director in the Marketing Communications team.
He led global design efforts across all aspects of the brand’s messaging from product launches and packaging
to retail and interactive experiences.
Prior to Apple, Alan held leadership roles at Landor Associates, Ogilvy’s Brand Integration Group, and Kate Spade. Beyond design, Alan contributed illustrations to The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine,
and WIRED.
In 2023, Alan joined the board of trustees of Cooper Hewitt, America’s design museum which is part of the Smithsonian Institution.
Alan and his family live in San Francisco where he continues to illustrate, design, and work on his jump shot.
He holds a degree in Communications Design from Syracuse University.

    Alan Dye was named Vice President of Human Interface Design in 2015. The work of the Human Interface
    team has defined the design language across all Apple devices and is used by billions of people every day.
    Alan began his career at Apple in 2006 as Executive Creative Director in the Marketing Communications team.
