Mauro Bubbico was born in Montescaglioso (Matera) where he lives and works as graphic designer since 1986. His favorite field is design for education and environmental sustainability. Along the years his interests and his research on places and inhabitants has brought him to define an incisive and contemporary graphic language capable to narrate and enhance them, favoring their social, economic and cultural development. In his vision graphic design is primarily the ability to build great narrations. Mauro for many years has been teaching and still is teaching at Isia Urbino, Isia Faenza, Abadir and Unibz.

Mauro Bubbico can be considered the true heir of the Italian popular visual culture, that was formed in the tradition of pre and post-war agricultural Italy and that still today lives. They are the bearers of a genuine, almost archaic, Italian identity that bases its assumptions on solid icons.
He is never decorative in its signs, while building rich images but of a richness that is the essence of that material culture that manages to survive the post-digital nature of our contexts. It is never rhetorical in the denunciation.
