Originally from Somerset, England, his educational journey, from Central Saint Martins to an MSc from UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture, has enabled him to seamlessly bridge the physical and digital, infusing technological innovation into tangible experiences. Through speculative design, Jody constructs narratives that question and probe the edges of new technologies and innovative methodologies.
This inventive spirit led Jody and his brother Luke to become partners at Pentagram in 2015, following the success of their studio, Hudson-Powell, noted for its experimental ethos. At Pentagram, Jody's projects for clients like Channel 4, Cohere, and Graphcore exemplify his ability to translate complex technological concepts into engaging narratives. His work, driven by conceptual ideas, transcends traditional medium limitations.
Jody's work spans cultural and commercial realms, introducing novel visual languages and identifying him as an influential voice in contemporary design through his speculative and inventive processes.
