Read full biographyBorn in Aichi Prefecture, 1954. He began his career as a graphic designer at Tanaka Ikko Design Office and established his own studio in 1988. Professor of Tokyo Polytechnic University since 2010.
In addition to graphic design, CI & VI development, he has done extensive work on signage design and way-finding systems for commercial and public facilities.
Major involvements include: the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Nissan Motor Design Center, Yokosuka Museum of Art, 9h nine hours, Sumida Aquarium, TOTO MUSEUM, National Taichung Theater.
Awards : N.Y. ADC International Annual Exhibition Silver Prize, Mainichi Design Awards, KU/KAN Award, SDA(Sign Design Association)Award Grand Prize, Good Design Award Gold Prize, Design for Asia Award Grand Prize etc.
As Representative Director of Japan Creative, he organizes projects that promote and present Japanese craftsmanship and industry to the world.
