    1963–68: studies at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich.
    1965: freelance work with Josef Müller-Brockmann.
    1967: founds the publishing house Um die Ecke, together with his eldest brother Silvio R. Baviera.
    1968: starts Atelier for Corporate Design in Zürich.
    1975: co-founder of Wohnfl ex Inneneinrichtung, president of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Schweizer Graphiker, judge in various national and international competitions, employee of the magazine idee...à jour.
    1978: author and publisher of a monograph on Hannes Gruber.
    1979–81: awarded art scholarships by the Swiss canton of Zürich.
    1981: co-founder of the Atelier BBV in Zürich, Lyons, Milan.
    1987: appointed professor by the Institut für Kommunikationsdesign at the Fachhochschule Konstanz, Germany.
    1988: author and publisher of the Monatsbuch Gruber/Baviera.
    1989: publishes the book Hannes Sils-Chiavenna- Sicilia Gruber.
    1990: new atelier in Barbaresco completed.
