Félix Beltrán, Mexico (1974)
In 1956 Félix Beltrán travelled to the US where he studied at the School of Visual Arts, the American Art School, and the Art Students League, New York. He was awarded scholarships from the New School for Social Research, Graphic Art Center of the Pratt Institute, and from the Council of International Exchanges of Scholars, Washington DC. His works have been included in 478 group exhibitions, 69 solo exhibitions and in the collections of 60 national and international museums. He has written four books, as well as many articles for national and international publications. He has received 132 awards in national and international competitions and a honorary Doctorate from the International University Foundation, Delaware. He appears in reference works including Who’s Who in American Art (New York), Who’s Who in Graphic Arts (Zürich), Personaggi Contemporanei (Milan), and Dizionario del Grafi co (Milan), among others. Félix Beltrán was a professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico.
