    Yvo Hählen is co-founder with Priscilla Balmer of the studio Balmer Hählen. The studio is established since 2013 in the heart of Lausanne. Composed of a team of four, the studio specializes mainly in cultural fields such as art, design, music, and photography, which are at the heart of their professional career.

    Through their transdisciplinary approach, Balmer Hählen integrates digital media and print into their thinking on a daily basis, considering these two mediums as complementary. They have developed significant expertise in paper and printing techniques, evidenced by their organization of various events focused on these subjects.

    Their achievements, both locally and internationally, are regularly exhibited and rewarded. In 2018, the studio received the prestigious Tokyo Type Directors Club Annual Awards. In addition, Priscilla Balmer and Yvo Hählen are often asked to share their approach during conferences, jury and workshops. Their experience has led them to travel to countries such as South Korea (2023), Mexico (2022), Japan (2018) and China (2018).
