Theo Jansen en Chile: "Algoritmos del Viento"

Josefina Bunster

For Theo Jansen exhibition in Chile, we designed a graphic system that reflects the spirit of his work: the mixture of engineering with art, and the discovery of the 13 algorithms with which Jansen achieves mobility. Another element considered was the analogous character of his creations: all the systems of the Strandbeest are made with unsophisticated materials. For this reason, the visuality and materiality of captions, panels and timelines were inspired by the aesthetics of a toolroom.
