The Hepworth Wakefield

Outside of London, The Hepworth Wakefield is the largest purpose-built museum in the UK. Built near the birthplace of sculptor Barbara Hepworth, it exhibits her work alongside that of other British modernists and contemporary artists. APFEL was commissioned to design the identity, signage and wayfinding, website, printed materials and permanent exhibition graphics for the institution.

    A Practice for Everyday Life is a graphic design studio based in London, founded by Kirsty Carter and Emma Thomas in 2003. Their work includes art direction, identities, publications, exhibitions, type design, signage, packaging, and digital. They have built a reputation as an internationally renowned and sought-after collaborator through their work with like-minded companies, galleries, institutions and individuals, and they work with a conceptual rigour that ensures each design is meaningful and original.
