Read full biographyMartin Gaberthüel studied graphic design at the School of Design in Biel, Switzerland (1979–1984), and worked with Jean Widmer (Visual Design) in Paris (1988–1991). From 1992 to 1995, he worked at the agency Seiler DDB Atelier Jaquet in Bern, Switzerland. In August 1995, Martin Gaberthüel joined Andréas Netthoevel as a partner at the design studio Second Floor South in Biel, Switzerland. Second Floor South was constantly exploring the familiar and combining it with new, client-specific projects. This approach has regularly earned the studio awards. The studio’s areas of expertise include editorial work, corporate design, posters, art in architecture, and objects.
