Read full biographySebastian Kubica was born in 1975 in Żywiec, Poland. He graduated from Academy
of Fine Art in Cracow (Department in Katowice). His interests are in graphic
design, painting, drawing, graphic art and illustration. He has been teaching since
2004 at the University of Silesia, Institute of Fine Arts in Cieszyn. In 2012 he
obtained a title of Ph.D with his habilitation. In his class he is teaching postermaking
and illustration.
Sebastian has directed lectures and workshops at numerous Universities in
Poland and abroad in places such as Hungary, Romania, Chile, Czech Republic,
Italy, China, Iceland, Panama and Mexico. He has also been a judge at many competitions
in Poland and abroad. He takes part in many individual and collective exhibitions
in Poland and abroad e.g. USA, Japan, France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Egypt,
Iran, Hungary, Chile, Czech Republic, Slovakia, China, Bolivia, Mexico, Iceland,
Panama and others.
He is a laureate of many prestigious awards. In 2008 he was awarded a
scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland. Since
2014 he is a member of the Polish branch of FECO (FEderation of Cartoonists
Organizations).
