Liu Zhao is the founder and creative director of Another Design, AGI member, and president of the Shenzhen Graphic Design Association. He specializes in integrating new media with traditional media, applying cross-media as a design method throughout his design practice, and conducting visual research that draws on local language and culture. He co-curated the exhibition “Prompt: Design × AI” and is also chairman of the organizing committee and curator of GDC Award 2025 (Graphic Design in China 2025).

His work has received over 200 international design awards and honors, including the Tokyo TDC Award, D&AD Graphite Pencil and Wood Pencil, ADC Silver and Bronze, The One Show Design Bronze Pencil, and New York TDC Ascenders.

In 2026, he serves as jury president of the typography category at D&AD. He is regularly invited to serve as a judge for major international design awards and competitions, including D&AD 2024, The One Show, New York TDC, NY TDC Ascenders, Award 360, the Macau Design Award, the China International Poster Biennial, and Topawards Asia, among others. He also remains active internationally through lectures, exhibitions, and publications.
