    Rik Bas Backer, France (2010)

Born in Amsterdam in 1967, Rik Bas Backer studied in the Netherlands at the Art Academy of Arnhem (ArtEZ). In 1990 he completed his internship at Grapus (under Pierre Bernard). Presently Bas Backer is designing books, identity projects, way finding systems, posters, record covers, websites, giving lectures and organising workshops. Clients include Cahiers du Cinéma, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Magnum photo, Phaidon, Centre Pompidou, Cartier, Nouveau théâtre de Montreuil, Picasso museum Malaga, Palais de Tokyo.
