Pepe Andreu

Pablo Juncadella

This book presents a selection of pieces by Pepe Andreu, a furniture designer who got his start as a cabinetmaker. Pepe’s furniture and though processes are brimming with functional details, but also show great respect for the tradition of handmade furniture. The book design needed to be an extension of this vision. Its binding, rhythm (non-linear), typography and color scheme all exude this idea of reinventing the classic and looking at traditional objects from a new angle.

    Pablo Juncadella, Spain (2015)

Pablo Juncadella was born in Barcelona in 1977 and graduated with honours at Eina School of Design and Art (Barcelona) in 1999. He worked at Grafica and Pentagram London before founding Mucho (together with his partner Marc Catala). During his first 3 years of Mucho he combined running the studio with being the joint creative direction of the UK newspaper The Observer. Pablo's approach to design is focused on simplicity, wit and creative problem solving with an interest in typographic expression.

He is a teacher at Eina School of Design, director of the Masters degree on Graphic design At ELISAVA and co-author of “No somos hormigas”.
