    Education at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts (1948–52). Designer and art director in German and Canadian agencies and studios (1952–59). Opened graphic design office in Montreal (1959–65). Co-founder and principal of Design Collaborative, Montreal/Toronto (1965–77). Founder and principal, Rolf Harder & Assoc. (1977–present). Fellow of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. Designed over 70 Canadian postage stamps. World Logo Design Award 1998, and special prizes at Biennale of Graphic Design, Brno, and Peace Poster Competition, Moscow. Travelling exhibition (together with Ernst Roch), sponsored by the Canadian Government, shown throughout Canada, in the US, Germany and Yugoslavia. Represented at the 36th Venice Biennale. Work appeared in professional publications in Canada, US, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Australia, South America. Co-organizer of the exhibition ‘The Visual Image of the Olympic Games’, Museum of Fine Arts, Montreal (1972).
