Read full biographyEducation: Zürich Design School with Josef Müller- Brockmann and Hans Finsler. 1963: went to the US as assistant to Paul Rand. 1967–76: co-owner and director of Müller-Brockmann & Co., Zürich. 1973–80: juror for the Best Swiss Posters of the Year. 1976–81: president of AGI Switzerland. 1977–83: Baltis & Rüegg Zürich. 1981–2000: member of the International Executive Committee of AGI. 1984: Designalltag Zürich Ruedi Rüegg. 1996–2000: International Secretary of AGI. Teaching background: 1968–88: visiting professor of graphic design, Ohio State University, Columbus. 1984–2006: teaching at School of Design, St Gallen. Several awards for posters and books, including AGI’s Henri Award, 2000.
