Fidel Peña

The McMaster Museum of Art is a public gallery in the heart of the McMaster University Campus in Hamilton, Canada. We created a brand centered around having the “M” for “Museum” set in parentheses — symbols that show a remark that departs from the theme of a discourse, in this case the Museum.

    Fidel Peña, El Salvador (2023)

    Fidel is a creative director and co-founder of Underline Studio. Prior to co-founding Underline, he worked at several design studios including Concrete Design in Toronto and Pentagram’s London office.

    His projects at Underline have included identity and branding for the University of Toronto, the McMaster Museum of Art, Harvard Medical School and campaigns and publications for Google, UNHCR The UN Refugee Agency and Canada Post. Fidel’s work has received numerous accolades from across Canada, the US, Latin America and Europe, and he has lectured on design topics in Spain, Peru, Mexico and Canada.

    He was born in El Salvador and is a former president of the Advertising and Design Club of Canada.
