Life: Life of a North Korean Defector Woman

Joonho Kwon

<Life> is an installation work which unfolds the narratives of North Korean Defector Women based on their testimonies. The moment they abandoned their family and crossed Tumen River and the moment they had to burry those who were alive just until yesterday in the cold ground… In order to visualize the feelings at such specific moments, their testimonies were visualized through wooden structures which look like a ‘torture device’.
