Lecturas para un Espectador Inquieto

This book is an advanced guide to contemporary art. While highly academic it still aims to teach amateurs key concepts on contemporary art. The design is based around a basic shape: a vertical rectangle. It represents the field the book operates in (the block of text), but also the space of the artwork. The openings in the book modulate this basic rectangle to represent the various themes. The format is a hybrid between a large coffee table art book and a smaller book that is easier to read.

    Marc Català is founding partner and creative director at Mucho, brand design agency. He started Mucho with Pablo Juncadella in 2003. The agency incorporates its original independent studio mentality to a strategic approach to branding. This has led Mucho to the forefront of brand design in the international scene.
