Bouvet graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He lives and works in Paris. His studio works mainly for public institutions: theatres, operas, museums, festivals, dance companies, orchestras, and for publishers in France and abroad. Bouvet has participated as a poster artist and a jury member in international biennials in Warsaw, Lahti, Helsinki, Brno, Fort Collins, Toyama, Mexico, Chaumont, Rzeszow, Sofi a, Ogaki, Zagreb, Taipei, Seoul and the Art Directors Club, New York.
