The name of this book is so evocative that it brings to mind the sort of picture one sees in a calendar. On occasion, when considering a cover design I sometimes find it necessary to go in the opposite direction to avoid “points of connectivity between text and images” that suggest themselves too readily, in favor of a more “dramatic” design style.
