    Na Kim, South Korea (2016)

Na Kim collects and rearranges objects, texts, images, and events from daily life to explore the interplay between systems and chance. Her practice expands visual thinking through installation, publishing, and archiving, often working between the languages of design and art. Based in Seoul and Berlin, she served as editor and art director of GRAPHIC from 2009 to 2012, and has developed the long-term project SET since 2015, an evolving system of wall-based compositions. In 2022, she opened LOOM in Berlin, a project space focused on solitude, sensory focus, and embodied engagement. Her work has been presented at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Milan Triennale, MoMA (New York), V&A (London), DDD Gallery (Kyoto), Seoul Museum of Art, MMCA (Korea), and Kukje Gallery, and is held in collections including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Paris), Die Neue Sammlung (Munich), and MMCA (Gwacheon). She has also curated for major international design biennials and lectured at institutions such as Yale University, Zurich University of the Arts, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and UQAM.
