    Gerwin Schmidt was born 1966 in Munich. 1990 to 1992 he studied communication design at Kassel University and from 1992 to 1997 visual communication at design university HfG Karlsruhe. Since 1997 he runs his own design-office in Munich. He creates book-, poster and corporate-designs for cultural events, museums and business clients. From mid-1999 to 2003 he was teaching as a guest lecturer at Fachhochschule Vorarlberg, Austria. Since 2003 he is teaching as a professor for communication design at the State Academy of Art Stuttgart.
