    James Noboru Miho, USA (1995)

    James Miho was a graduate of the Art Center College of Design and Woodbury College. He was the Art Director for N.W. Ayer & Son from 1956 to 1965, where he worked on the ‘Great Ideas of Western Man’ campaign. He was vice-president and creative director for Needham, Harper and Steers in Chicago and New York, 1965–72. As designer and art director for Champion Paper Corporation, he created the Imagination book series, which spanned twenty years and included books on countries, rivers and main streets of the world. In 1988 Miho became the chairman of the Graphic and Packaging Departments at Art Center College and served in this capacity until 1998. Along with freelance work he became the education and design advisor to the Innovative Design Systems Labs (IDS) of Samsung Corporation in Seoul, Korea, 1995–99. Miho has served as an advisor and consultant to several museums and agencies, including the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum and International Museum of Folk Art.
