    Giulio Confalonieri, Italy (1967)

    Confalonieri studied in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and India. He was mainly active in the fi eld of graphic production for publishing and industry. He worked as a collaborator at Domus, was art director at Lerici and for others including FMR, Art Esquire, and Marcatrè. His work was presented at the 11th and 15th Milan Triennale. Meanwhile he taught at the Design Institute of Milan Polytechnic. Among the prizes he has received are gold medals at the Milan Triennale XI and XV, the Premio Viareggio, the diploma of honour from the ADC NY and the Premio Bodoni. He has exhibited in Zürich and Milan (1969), at the Visual Art Gallery in New York, in London, Amsterdam (1973), Copenhagen (1971), the Musée de l’Art Moderne, Paris (1970), the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw (1968), in Ljubljana (1968–73), in Zürich (1970) and in Barcelona. Alongside his professional work, his graphic design experiments resulted in one of the first examples of visual poetry: Immagine di un libro.
