Majid Abbasi is a graphic designer, art director, educator, and researcher based in Tehran and Toronto. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. He is the founder and design director of Studio Abbasi Design Associates (SA/DA), an international design practice working across visual identity and branding, packaging, editorial and publication design, and environmental graphics.

Majid has created identities, publications, posters, books, and visual communication programs for a wide range of cultural, academic, and commercial clients. His work has received numerous national and international awards and is held in the collections of the Iranian Museum of Graphic Design and the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich.

He was editor-in-chief of Neshan graphic design magazine until 2020 and has taught graphic design at various universities in Tehran since 2019. He has been a member of the Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS) since 1998 and was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) in 2025.

In 2026, he edited History of Iranian Graphic Design, a bilingual Persian-English visual encyclopedia documenting 150 years of Iranian graphic design.
