    Kit Hinrichs, USA (1990)

    Kit Hinrichs is a partner in the San Francisco office of the international design firm Pentagram, and has been an influential force in graphic design for more two decades. Included among the hundreds of projects that he has design-directed are the Sony Metreon Entertainment Complex interior graphics, United Airlines’ Hemispheres magazine, The Nature Company identity and catalogue (1980s), and countless annual reports, corporate identities, exhibition, editorial, and promotional campaign programmes. Kit has taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York, the California College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco, and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He is also the co-author of several books on design. He is an AIGA Fellow, past national executive board member and most recently (2004), a medallist of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Currently, he serves as a trustee of Art Center College of Design and on the Accessions Design and Architecture committee of the SF MoMA.
