Celso Longo (born in Sao Paulo, 1977) holds both an undergrad degree and a masters degree in architecture from University of Sao Paulo (USP). Since 2008, he works in partnership with Daniel Trench conceiving graphic design projects. Their clients include some of the most important Brazilian museums and publishers, for whom they have developed identities, publications, book covers, signage, amongst other pieces. Celso currently teaches at Escola da Cidade and is the author of the book “Design Total / Cauduro Martino” published in 2004. Along with Daniel Trench and Elaine Ramos, he has curated the exhibition “Cidade Gráfica”, held at Itaú Cultural (Sao Paulo) in 2014.

Five projects designed by the pioneer design studio Cauduro Martino, between mid 1960’s and 1970’s, are featured in this book — highlighting the archive images that go, from beginning to end, along with the text. Designed in association with Elaine Ramos, Design Total is the culmination of an extensive research carried by Celso Longo.
2009 — 365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions 30, AIGA
AIGA National Design Center, New York City
The project "Mostra Sesc de Artes" was selected as one of the best communication design of the year of 2009 by 365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions 30. It was then published in AIGA's virtual gallery and in an annual publication, exhibited at the AIGA National Design Center in New York City and is now part of AIGA's design collection at the Denver Art Museum, CO.

Itaú Cultural hosted the exhibition Graphic City. Curated by Celso Longo, Daniel Trench and Elaine Ramos, the show brought together 40 projects – conceived by artists and designers from various regions of the country – addressing different issues related to everyday life in cities, within the graphic universe.

Brasil em cartaz / Le Brésil à l'Affiche
Pôle Graphisme de Chaumont, Chaumont
Work featured in the "Brasil em cartaz / Le Brésil à l'Affiche" exhibition, that was dedicated to show Brazilian graphic design through posters, as a celebration of the "France-Brazil year". The exhibition took place at Chaumont, a city that is known for its broad poster collection that contains work from graphic artists like Toulouse-Lautrec, Grasset, Chéret and Bonnard.
