Visual Jumping in Tokyo

In August 2009 the family of Mr. Fukuda generously donated to the DNP Graphic Design Archives the entire body of posters archived in his studio. This exhibition is a special show in his memory and an event to commemorate the archiving of his posters, it will introduce 108 works gleaned from the near 1,200 posters he created during his lifetime.

Cannes Lions 2010

I was invited to be the president this year of the now 3 year old Design Lions at the International Advertising Festival in Cannes, France. I have a little bit of experience, having served as a juror of the inaugural Design jury at this famous festival in summer of 2008 and in 2009 at the Spikes Asia Festival in Singapore. Both of these juries were headed by Rodney Fitch. A tough act to follow as you might imagine. The juries so far have been populated with outstanding designers around the globe.

150 years of design experience

The Exhibition (circle/triangle/ square) started in 1985 at G8, by three graphic designers; circle is Keisuke Nagatomo, triangle is Katsumi Asaba, square is Masuteru Aoba, who are all same ages and have graduated from the same design school.

Manifestos & Modernism

AGI members Massimo Vignelli and Rolf Harder are represented in the exhibition Manifestos & Modernism @ MoMA, presently at the Architecture and Design Galleries of the Museum of Modern Art, N.Y. Works by Adolf Loos, David Gammon, Dieter Rams, Ladislav Sutnar, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Pio Ma are also shown. The works are part of MoMA's permanent collection.
