Elisabeth Kopf studied psychology, history and philosophy at the University of Vienna. From 1984 to 1987 she was a professional taxi driver in Vienna. She lived and worked in Hong Kong from 1989 through 1991, as a traveller, model and photographer. The birth of her son Luc in 1993 was the spark that ignited her creative future. Her work has involved studies and works in photography since 1989, and graphic design and visual concepts since 1996. She has run Baustelle, a one-woman studio, since 1996 and works for clients as well as on independent projects. She teaches creative communication and design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since 2004 and at the University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum Graz. Her exhibitions include: ‘360° Design Austria’, Design Forum Vienna, 2006; AGI, Best of Decade, Berlin, 2005; 4th International Ink Painting Biennial, Shenzhen, China, 2004-2005. She also lectured at the Design Austria 75th Anniversary Conference, Vienna, 2003.
