Marion Deuchars is a graphic artist living and working in London. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1989. Deuchars has a distinct graphic language that utilizes everthing from pencils and paint to photography and Photoshop. Her work has been described as having a ‘deeply attuned spatial Gestalt’. Her strengths are to be able to visually articulate a broad range of subjects and clients with her distinctive artworks.
Her international clients are many and varied, from FIA Formula One, Levi’s, Volkswagen, Adidas, Planeta Spain, The Guardian, The British Council, Royal Mail, The Barbican, Harpers NY, Orange to Time Magazine. Recent projects include re-packaging the book covers of classic novelist George Orwell, producing the Design and Art Directors Annual Report (which involved handwriting over 6,000 words of text), to being involved in ‘UK in NY’, an exhibition of 100 British examples of design excellence. Her Cuba reportage project, recently published in The Independent, is part of a larger personal project producing drawings, paintings, photography and writing based on her travels in Cuba and South America.
