Paul Marcus Fuog

Grounds for Play was part of a continued study into the process of play for making and thinking. Springing from a five-year photographic documentation of New York City playgrounds, the exhibition project explored the materials, shapes and structures that signify play.

    Paul Marcus Fuog, Australia (2017)

    In 2005, Paul Marcus Fuog founded the design studio U-P. Paul teaches at Monash University in Melbourne and has led workshops at several universities including OTIS College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and RMIT University in Melbourne. Paul is a founding member of Field Experiments, a nomadic collective that explores other cultures and people through design and collaborative making. In 2015 Paul’s work for Field Experiments was nominated for the Design of the Year by the Design Museum in London. Paul’s work has been shown at Fisher Parrish New York, Design Museum London, Powerhouse Museum Sydney, Ventura Lambrate in Milan, Tokyo’s Gallery Festa and at Breda’s Graphic Design Festival.
