Michael Rock about Dutch design

There is solid evidence to support the exceptional status that design holds in the Low Lands. There is hardly any other country where appreciation for design is so widely spread. Sometimes it takes an outsider to describe the current Dutch position in (graphic) design and its history in the most instructive way. I think American graphic designer Michael Rock did an excellent job in explaining the current Dutch situation and its background. He was commissioned by the Dutch Premsela Foundation in 2004 to prepare a lecture about Dutch design, that he called 'Mad Dutch Disease'.
